Darnall's Chance House Museum

Darnall's Chance was built in 1742 by a wealthy Scottish merchant and entrepreneur, James Wardrop. Museum tours highlight the similarities and differences between Mr. Wardrop's wife, Lettice Lee, and the lives of other 18th century women - gentry, middling and enslaved. In addition, the Museum offers special events, exhibits and programs that reflect the history and culture of 18th century Prince George's County.
