Marietta House Museum

Begun in 1813, this modest Federal-period brick house was the plantation home of Associate Supreme Court Justice Gabriel Duvall; the north wing was added in 1832. The Judge's law office and the root cellar remain of the outbuildings on the 25 acres of the original 650-acre estate. The house is furnished and interpreted to reflect three generations of Duvalls from 1815 to 1902. Marietta houses the Prince George's County Historical Society's F.S. DeMarr Memorial Library.
